Now, I'm not that big on clubs and societies so very rarely go to magic events but I must say that I really enjoyed the recent London Magic Convention!

This was the second year but I completely missed it last year and only found out about the event a week or so after it happened but decided that I really wanted to check it out this year. I would like to say a very special thank you to the great Craig Petty who does so much for the magic community with his brilliant Magic TV YouTube channel. It was Craig who let me know about this event. Craig gets a lot of stick and the only reason I can think it happens is out of pure jealousy! He is not only a very nice guy who is happy sharing his knowledge but also an incredible Magician and a very successful business man too. It was nice chatting to Craig as well as Peter Nardi, Andy Nyman, Dynamo, John Archer plus many more lovely people!
I bought one or two nice little effects that I will be playing around with over the weekend and hopefully will be ready to perform for next weekend!
My only slight criticism was that the Close-Up competition was more of a Stage Magic competition! It would be so good to see a real Close-Up Magic competition but how that could be done I really don't know!
I'm already looking forward to next year!
